Welcome,

I’m a PhD student in Education: Theory, Organization, and Policy. A two-time alumnus of Rutgers University-New Brunswick, I hold degrees in History (Rutgers University), Social Studies Education (Rutgers University), and Philosophy and Education (Teachers College, Columbia University). In international, suburban, and urban schools, I’ve worked as a tutor, teacher, academic coach, and director of an after-school program. As a graduate student, I study the historical and philosophical foundations of education. My work has appeared in Educational Review, Teaching Social Studies, Educational Abundance, Newsweek, Education Week, The Star-Ledger, and History News Network.

I currently teach an introduction to education course at Rutgers and work on an action-research team focused on trauma-informed teaching and learning with the New Jersey Department of Corrections and the Initiative for Education and Justice at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. I was a Paul Robeson Scholar and a fellow at New York University's Center for Humanities and the Rutgers School of Graduate Studies. I sit on the Executive Board for the New York State Foundations of Education Association and the Graduate Student Council for the History of Education Society.
